Penia is a hamlet of the municipality of Canazei, in Val di Fassa, on the course of the Avisio stream.

Located at a fairly high altitude (1555 m a.s.l.), the small town of Penia, equipped with a parish church, is directly connected to the village of Alba di Canazei and, consequently, to its ski resorts. This means that the village is a well-known holiday resort both winter and summer, for the presence of numerous trails that start from the center to go to the Marmolada, the Monzoni and the Sella group.

Penia is an official stop along the famous Via Alpina, a path that runs from east to west along the entire mountain range of the Alps. The condominium is located about 1000 meters from the cable car Ciampac and Col de Rossi. The ski bus stop is about 400 meters and the center of Alba di Canazei is about 1200 meters, with all services of pizzerias and shops with winter and summer equipment rental.
